I am going to be really flattering about them, and you might think that Chris Cunningham had just done it at a higher level, especially with Aphex Twin’s videos, but PixelShifter are fucking great, just check their showreel below, it’s full of poetry and is so oniric…this is just incredibly ingenious, full of apparent simplicity that makes all the thing magical.

Mais comment se fait-il que d’un coup les .gif animés soient redevenus hyper à la mode ? Nos potes TTC ont même leur propre générateur de .gif animés.
Mais oui, parlons en ! Même si ça n’a aucun intérêt, c’est aussi à ça que servent les blogs, créer de la micro info que personne n’aurait normalement relevée.
Bref, au tout début du www, le seul moyen d’avoir une animation sans que celle-ci ne pèse des tonnes de Ko, était le magnifique .gif animé: le premier format vraiment publicitaire web était né, et on ne tarda pas en avoir déjà marre….
Avec le temps il (le .gif animé) est devenu dans ce même milieu uniquement un format de sécurité pourri dans le cas où les personnes n’ayant pas le plug-in flash pour les super promos en flash se tapent au moins le .gif animé.

Alors? le .gif animé est-il une régression ?

C’est la faute à MySpace
En fait ce qu’il s’est passé, c’est que d’un coup beaucoup de gens se sont mis à créer leur propre page pour parler d’eux. Sauf que parler d’eux en suivant un gabarit est vite devenu impersonnel et insuffisant. Alors il a fallu donner de la vie à sa page hyper perso custumisable à souhait, et qui dit vie, dit mouvement donc .gif animé…car c’est le plus accessible, même ta mère pourrait les faire.
Voilà nous y sommes, tout le monde s’en donne à cœur joie, finit les pages html créées sous Word ! On ne se prend pas la tête, maintenant on peut se concentrer sur son propre marketing avec les .gif animés. D’un coup tout le monde est devenu un publicitaire des années 90s spécialisé dans le web…chantmé !

Bingo ! He has pictures of him riding horses really seriously in North Africa, he has Dr Dre among is friend but he also has Shanice, an almost naked girl, so of course you go for it…Shanice, apart from having put on her page a very aggressive music starting with gun shots, appears to be one of the main character of a famous French reality show (L’île de la tentation), the kind of game where you are testing your own couple strength spending your time with good looking people on an island, doing nothing but walking around barenaked. Anyway, you figured out that she works at L’Escale, a Parisian streap tease place. And when you are on its website, your are asking yourself: “This is not what I was looking for, What the fuck am I doing here !?”
Résult:
- you’ve lost your time
- you didn’t learn more about what you were looking for at first
- you are watching bad TV programs
- you didn’t request anybody (Wrong! never leave MySpace without requesting anybody, don’t loose chances to make you popular and spread your word)
