You might remember The Loove, he is the guy that made this really good techno remix of Charly Greane – Gossip Girl.

You have to know that this guy is a boss, I am not talking about music here, he is a Subway boss in Bordeaux (this town again !).
Do you know what that means ? It means that he knows how to make delicious sandwiches, but he doesn’t do them anymore since he manage people that make them for him, so he has plenty of time to think about music.

Well, The Loove is really into that “making with my hand” thing and so also produced delightful Techno tunes on his own. He was in Paris last April, and delivered a crazy house mix at a party in La Flèche D’or that says a lot about his influences.

DJ Géro, c’est sûr est là pour réaliser nos podcasts de rêves. Il l’a déjà fait avec son podcast spécial rap français, et revient dans les tuyaux du www avec un podcast d’eurodanse à faire danser toute une famille pendant une fête de Noël. L’eurodanse on l’aime, toute la famille l’aime.
L’eurodanse était clairement une musique ringarde, tellement ringarde qu’en 2008 placer un morceau de Leila K dans un set suffit peut être pour qu’on se dise qu’on a atterri dans la bonne soirée, c’était peut être même vu comme un choix extrêmement pointu en 2006…

Si on remonte dans le temps justement, pour beaucoup d’entre nous, la dance est la musique des fêtes foraines. Pourquoi, dans toutes les fêtes foraines se retrouvait-on ultra euphorique à courrir du grand huit au train fantôme en passant par le palais des glaces, sucreries collantes sur le visage en fredonnant le refrain de Crystal Waters “La da dee la dee da La da dee la dee da…” qui gueulait aux 4 coins de l’esplanade de nos villes? Certainement par ce que la plupart des hits dance avaient un message ultra positif, joyeux, rempli d’amour et d’invitations à la fête qui se mariait parfaitement avec les ambiances de fêtes foraines; demandez à Mc Sar & The Real McCoy.

La Dance n’a pas vraiment connu l’underground, à vrai dire elle s’en foutait complètement, ce qui l’intéressait était de taper le top des charts et vite, elle n’avait pas le temps de chercher une pseudo crédibilité artistique, à quoi aurait-ce servi? La dance est un style essentiellement européen sans fantasme d’une scène qui serait arrivée d’une ville pourrie rongée par un chômage post industriel; peut-être y avait-il un fatasme sur les pays du nord de l’Europe de manière générale (Belgique, Allemagne, Angleterre, Suède). Tout le début des 90’s voyait l’eurodance exploser jusqu’à atteindre certainement son apogée avec “All That She Wants” d’ Ace Of Base, impossible à éviter en 92…
